Have you recently made the switch from a 9 to 5 to the life of a business owner – or are you planning to in the near future?

Something ALL new entrepreneurs struggle with the most is mindset and shedding old thought patterns.

That’s right… something so simple you’d think I was crazy if I said it can hold you back in business. But it does. It may even be the biggest obstacle you’ll come across in your journey towards freedom. 🤯

Things you’ve been told and taught your whole life, *truths* that have been hammered into your brain turn out to be garbage fed to you through a broken system.

A system where we’re supposed to fall in line, stay in the same place financially our whole lives, use excuses like “life is hard” and “you can’t always get what you want” when things don’t go the way we’d hoped.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Stones 🎶 but that saying only rings true if you believe it.

This is the essence of the employee vs. entrepreneur mindset. And the differences are highly apparent in one’s thoughts and spoken words.

➡️ The employee mindset is made up of thoughts like “I don’t have enough time. I don’t have enough money. This will never happen for me, that’s just the way it goes.” 😤

➡️ While the entrepreneur mindset questions those thoughts by asking “How can I make more time for this? How can I make more money so I can afford all the things I desire? I know there’s always a way. How can I make this happen?” 🤔

Any of this sounding eerily familiar?

Let’s get one thing clear. There’s nothing wrong with having a 9-5 job that you love. It’s when you’re stuck in a job you hate that you should be paying attention to these thought patterns.

If this is you, NOW is the time to start shifting your mindset, shedding old thought patterns and false truths, and OPEN YOUR MIND to the possibility that anything is possible. Because it truly is.

Here are a few mindset shifts you can make starting today.

👉 Instead of “I don’t have time” ask yourself “How can I work smarter so I have more time?”

This is a biggie. Time is one of our biggest excuses in life and one of the scariest lies we tell ourselves. If you have time to sit on the couch and watch Netflix, or scroll through your social feeds, you do have time. You’re just choosing not to see it that way. Make a shift and adjust your days so that you have “more time” to focus on the important aspects of your growing business.

👉 Instead of “I can’t afford it” ask yourself “How can I make more money so I can afford it?”

Whether you want to hear it or not, you’re the reason you don’t have enough money for the things you want. Yes, there are some people that grow up in wealthy families and get everything handed to them. But the rest of us? We work HARD to achieve the lifestyle we’ve always wanted. Now it’s your turn. Figure out *how* you can make the money to afford it, rather than feeling sorry for yourself for not being able to yet.

👉 Instead of “It’s never gonna happen” say “I’m MAKING it happen!”

Don’t give up when you haven’t even tried to start. Even if you’re faced with failure the first time, second time or third time around, keep pushing forward. There’s always a way to pivot and make it work the next time around. Nobody ever got it perfect immediately, and it’s the ones who decide they’re not taking any shit that always make it to their goals and beyond.

The two things determining your success are your mindset and your actions. Shift your mindset, take action, and watch your world change.

Check your mindset, change your life.

I promise you it’s worth it. 🤍
