Navigating Busy Seasons as a Driven Entrepreneur

“Busy” doesn’t have to mean the same thing as “unavailable” when it comes to building a business. Just because you have a lot going on, that doesn’t mean your dreams need to take a backseat.
In our go-go-go society, wanting to take on something time consuming like starting a business is near impossible, UNLESS you design it in a way that can fit around your packed schedule. It’s possible to do it all in a way that feels calm and intentional, rather than stressful and chaotic.
Listen in to the Self Paid Club podcast episode 018: Navigating Busy Seasons as a Driven Entrepreneur to discover business growth strategies you can rely on even during the busiest seasons of life, so you can make the most out of the little time that you do have.
Prioritize your most important projects.
What are you hoping to accomplish? Pick ONE big goal at a time. Don’t overwhelm or overburden yourself with projects. Pick one big goal that you’re working towards. Then when you’re done that, you can start on the next one.
Time block for additional growth tasks.
You’ve set your priorities, you know what needs to be done… but wait. You still need to be answering emails, responding to comments and DMs, and so on.
Fit those things in while still remaining as productive as possible through the use of time blocking. Setting aside a chunk of time (i.e. 15 minutes in the morning) to tend to these tasks without taking precious moments away from your top priorities.
Achieve hyper focus through batch work.
Focus all your attention on one specific task at a time, such as creating pin graphics for Pinterest, recording multiple podcast episodes, or creating 2 weeks’ worth of Instagram posts in one sitting.
Rather than spreading out your efforts and splitting your focus on different tasks every day, pick an entire day or half a day to accomplish certain tasks so you have tons of content created in advance.
Schedule and automate as much of your business as possible.
Once you get the hang of batch working, you can start to schedule all that content you’ve created in advance. This is the KEY to navigating busy seasons as a driven entrepreneur!
The more you can schedule, the better. The more you can automate, the better.
Schedule out your social media posts, emails, podcast episodes, client training (if you’re an online coach), and so on.
If you stay ahead of your work, then your business will never fall behind. It will stay running (and growing) in the background, even if your personal life becomes insanely chaotic.
Take intentional action and reject misaligned opportunities.
This means saying no to opportunities, projects or clients that won’t progress you or your business towards your main goal.
You need to be extremely intentional with how you’re spending your time. Throwing the time-wasters out the window and only saying yes to opportunities that either directly move the needle in your business, really feel in alignment with your goals, or will accelerate your progress in a significant way.
As a busy entrepreneur, things don’t always have to feel overwhelming. With the right strategies, you can run your business from a place of calm, intentional action.
