Simplify Your Marketing Strategy with this No. 1 Hack

Marketing. You either love it or you dread it. There’s really no in between for entrepreneurs.

What if I told you your marketing strategy could be simplified right down, so you don’t have to be showing up on ALL the platforms, and implementing 5437 strategies at once?

It comes down to two things: the platform on which you’re showing up, and the place to which you’re driving traffic. Let’s tackle these one at a time.

Where You’re Showing Up

You don’t need to be on alllll the platforms, despite what anyone tells you. The first thing you should be doing is mastering ONE piece of the puzzle first, then expanding to include others in the future (or not). This means you could choose one social media platform to focus all your efforts on, and forget about the rest.

Maybe your platform of choice is Instagram, or maybe it’s TikTok, or maybe even YouTube.

Once you have this decided, you can move onto the next factor.

Where You’re Driving Traffic

The worst thing you can do is point your audience to a million different links. Your content will get all jumbled and nobody will be clear on the next steps they should be taking.

To avoid this, choose ONE place to drive traffic. You want to push your social media community to visit you off the platform to a place you have much more control. This could be either a free lead magnet for your email list, a free masterclass, a high-value blog, or something similar.

If you’re wondering whether a sales page would qualify, the answer gets a bit cloudy. Yes, if there’s nowhere else to point your audience, then a sales page will do. Or if you have a low-cost offer, this could work well, too. With medium or high ticket offers, you’ll likely want to push your audience through a funnel where you’re able to build more trust and connection before inviting them into your offer.

For product-based businesses, I’d recommend linking to an incentive or current promotion you’re having, whether that’s a Flash Sale, a discount code for new email subscribers, a giveaway, or similar concept.

✅ If you stick to this strategy of choosing one platform and one place to drive traffic, it will make your content creation much simpler. You’re creating for your community in one place, you don’t have to switch up your posting or caption writing strategies for different places, and you no longer have to wonder where to send people today.
